Commenting on The Permanent Makeup Training Academy, the winner in the Best Mentor category, the chairman of the judges said:
“Katy Jobbins, founder of The Permanent Makeup Training Academy, is a motivational leader who has had a positive impact on thousands of women. She has trained hundreds of women giving them the skills and confidence to set up their own business as permanent makeup artists and used her natural empathy with people and her life experiences to help others through difficult times. Katy has also made generous donations to UNICEF Ukraine, and she launched a pay with a smile campaign that provides cancer victims with free treatments.”
Upon Receiving Her Award, Katy Said:
My highest intention is to enable them to pick my brains whenever they need to day or night, I’m there for the highs the lows and everything in between.
It’s a roller-coaster & I’ll always have an ear open to listen whilst constantly nudging them in the right direction of self belief.’
I do not take this for granted. It’s such a special feeling for me to be named the ‘2023 Mentor of the Year’ at such a high profile awards. This award has caused me to reflect on what brings me to exactly where I am today.
Choosing a career path in permanent makeup can be challenging to say the least but I set out in the beauty industry at an early age decided that I simply loved making people feel beautiful both inside out and top to bottom.
This Belief Has Allowed Me To Embrace My Passion And Chase After My Dreams
This award serves as a poignant reminder to always be generous in teaching, sharing, and lifting up others.
Mostly, I hope this award demonstrates that small individual efforts and acts of kindness can have the most profound effect on people and they play an important role in the lives of students I train and mentor.
