Do I need previous beauty experience?
No. Around half the students we train have no prior beauty experience. You will be trained 1 to 1 with our head trainer, Katy Jobbins, meaning you will get have 100% of the trainers attention 100% of the time
Where Are You Based?
Our training centre is based in an idyllic location in West Sussex. It is also Katy Jobbins’s main clinic, so you will be learning in a real life permanent makeup clinic not a classroom environment. There is also free parking all day long for those who are driving. The nearest mainline train station’s are Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, where you will be a 5-10 minute taxi drive away.
The nearest airport is Gatwick, which is about a 15-20 minutes train ride from Haywards Heath. For those not driving, we will happily arrange and pay for all your journeys to and from your hotel/B & B to the training centre and back each day, leaving you a stress free stay so you can concentrate 100% on your training.

Do You Train Around the UK?
Our head training centre is based in Wivelsfield, West Sussex, which is where most of our training courses are competed. If you have your own clinic/salon, then we can also train you in house, if you prefer. We also are able to train in a number of other locations around the UK, including Harley Street in London. How Do I get insurance after training?
All of our start up courses are insurance approved and the first years treatment risk insurance and public liability insurances are actually included in your course price. We will set them up when you come for your training and be insured from the time you start your first case studies.
What Support Do You Offer?
All our startup students get unlimited 24/7 support for their first 12 months (as do most of our re-training students). This includes being able to access your trainer whenever you need her, as each and every student will receive Katy’s personal mobile phone number. This is for calls, texts, messages, asking advice and also to send your pictures through to be critiqued.
Having this support when you finish your training is of paramount importance and is virtually priceless. You can see from the hundreds and hundreds of student video testimonials on our website and YouTube channel how useful this is. You will also see from lots of students who re-trained with Katy after training elsewhere initially, how it was often the number 1 reason why they had to pay and re-train having not had that support in the first place, leaving them feeling unconfident to perform treatments.
Do You Offer a Payment Plan?
Although we do not have any particular finance companies that we work with, where you can complete the course first and pay later, we can offer you the option to pay via a 6 or 10 month
period for your course and then complete the course once your final payment has been made at no additional cost. You simply pay the first payment of £1,997 + VAT then spread the rest of the course balance over 6 or 10 months. Monthly payments plans start from £300 + VAT.
This way you can book the course in for later in the year and pay if off monthly making it a little easier to manage, rather than having to come up will all the money immediately. If of course you manage to come into some extra money before then and want to pay the balance off a little earlier then as long as we have the dates available, we can move your course forward to save you waiting. Feel free to contact us to request a breakdown of the monthly payments should you wish to pay in this way.
Most students want to start their courses sooner rather than later so usually pay their first course payment to book their course (normally £1,997 + VAT= £2,396.40) and receive their pre-study manual etc. then pay the balance of their course off anytime up until 10 days before their course is due to begin. This can be done with any Credit/Debit card or via Bank Transfer.
Is Everyone You Train Successful?
No. And if any training company says differently, then they would be lying.
Let’s be really honest here. At the end of the day, we can train you to the best of our ability: we can give you the best machinery, inks, needles and equipment on the planet: we can develop a fabulous website for you: we can show you the many ways that Katy herself has been successful, by showing you not only what has worked for her, but also what didn’t work for her, therefore also helping you avoid the common mistakes new permanent makeup artists make when setting up their businesses; we can mentor you and encourage you to be the very best you can be..
…but honestly, at the end of the day, we cannot knock on your door at 7:30 am every morning to tell you to get out of bed and get to work. Your ultimate success has to come from you. We can give you literally every tool necessary to be successful and train you in a way that will give you the very best chance of success, but you need to be determined to succeed and do your part as well.
We have noticed a pattern of some of the most successful students we have trained in the past and those who maybe have not done as well as they would have liked. Can I See Any of Your Students?
Yes, of course. We have well over 500 student video testimonials spanning from nearly 10 years of successfully training students on a 1 to 1 basis. In fact, we have more student video testimonials than every other permanent makeup training centre in the UK combined.
Considering we train less students per year than most training centres do in a month, this is quite an achievement. Is my startup kit included in the course price?
Yes it is. However we are very different to most training companies.
Each and every student we train gets exactly the same machine, inks, needles and accessories that our head trainer, Katy Jobbins personally uses on her clients, that she charges up to £1297 per treatment for. This way you know that you are always going to be working with the best tools, to increase your chances of success. In fact, during your training course, Katy will fine tune your machine to your hand and give you the selection of needles & inks that she feels you work best with.
With no ties to any suppliers, you can rest assure that when you train with us you will always have the very best and most up-to-date machinery and products on the market. When you are on the course we also give you our secret suppliers Rolodex, listing every place we purchase our equipment and accessories from, so you can go direct to the very suppliers we use, saving you literally thousands of pounds on your ongoing restocking costs.
Can I Have My Own Permanent Makeup Done Whilst I'm There?
Yes. It is natural for most of our students to want to have their own permanent makeup done by Katy when the come down for their training course. So if you want to make a killer first impression on your own clients, then you can enjoy highly reduced treatment rates with your trainer Katy.
Alternatively, you can jump the queue and be a student model at special model rates on future training courses. We will put you to the top of our model list so you can be a model for one of our next students for just a small fraction of the cost of a normal full procedure. This will be watched over by Katy but performed by the student. Man students who choose to come back over the years, say it’s like have a refresher course.
How Much Are My Ongoing Restocking Costs?
We estimate that it costs around £7 – £10 in physical costs to complete a treatment on a client using the equipment and accessories in your kit. With the industry average price of having a permanent makeup brow treatment being around £450 (and even up to £1,000) then you can see that once you have paid for your initial training, your ongoing costs are very little, and profit margins very high.
Fact: in February 2020, Professional Beauty magazine, recognised that semi permanent makeup took all 5 top slots as in the list of beauty treatments with the largest profit margins.
TOP TIP: When considering your overall treatment costs, you need to remember that you also will perform a top-up treatment as well on each client, doubling your initial outlay in cost per treatment. Therefore if you are tied into buying supplies off of your training company at relatively high costs, the typical cost to a technician to perform a treatment in permanent makeup in will be something like £35 in costs + £35 top up = £70 in total.
This may not seem a huge amount at first, but consider the fact that if you become successful (and you do right?) then if you complete 4 treatments per week & work 48 weeks a year, then by being tied into your training company for restocking your goods, could cost you almost an additional £10,000 per year just in needles, inks and accessories, whist at the same time restricting you in you ability to try the latest products on the market. For every 10 years you work in permanent makeup that’s and additional £100,000 in costs to you, going directly to your training company.
Suddenly the few thousand pounds you managed to ‘save’ by training with a ‘cheaper’ training company (probably in a group format), doesn’t seem such a great deal any more. This is also one of the reasons why over half of the phone calls we receive at our training centre are from experienced permanent makeup technicians, looking to retrain with Katy, as they know that as well as receiving inspiring training & having a great mentor to call upon 24/7, the money they save by no longer being tied to their existing training company, will far outweigh the re-training costs associated with it.
Am I Tied In to Buying Products From You?
If you have done your research into this industry and other training companies, then you may have found out that one of the issues many new students face is that often, after training with a particular company, that student is then faced with the dilemma of having to use that company’s branded machine, pigments, and accessories on an ongoing basis.
These are usually at very inflated costs as well, meaning your average cost per treatment will be very high, reducing your profit margin for every client you work on. In fact, in many cases, if for example a new ink becomes very popular and you want to try it or move over to it, then simply by changing this single thing, could invalidate your insurance cover.
Needless to say, it’s important to be 100% clear on what you get and what you are expected to continue to be tied into buying, when you commit to training with any training company.
We have always tried to avoid this problem with our students. Therefore, we have no ties to any suppliers at all. We do not sell any machinery, equipment, inks or accessories. This way we can remain completely independent and unbiased in regards to what machines and equipment is the best on the market at any given time.
We will also not try to sell you lots of inks and needles and unnecessary equipment, and try to keep your training as simple & easy to understand and pick up as possible.
So although we do supply all students with full kits on our start up courses, with no ties to any suppliers, you can rest assure that when you train with us you will always have the very best and most up-to-date machinery and products at any given time. You will also be free to test and try any new products as and when they are released should you wish to.

Unfortunately, over 50% of phone calls we get each day, week in week out, are from people who have recently trained with other companies in Permanent Makeup and for some reason or other, are not confident enough to work on clients.
Many have not even finished their courses or case studies that they have already paid for and written off ever going back to their original training company.
