When We Surround Ourselves With Certain Elements ...
… Whether it’s instagrams version of perfection or those closest to us, we inevitably build a certain belief system of what is appropriate for us.
You think on the level of the people you run with and the content you consume. Their ideology’s are contagious.
They reward you when you dress a certain way, they reward you when you look a certain way, they reward you when you eat a certain food, they reward you when you respond a certain way and when you break a rule they say “you’re acting different”.

Sometimes in Order to Fit in, You Will Dull Down Your Realities and Your Potential Because We’re Effected by Our Environment.
Rachel trained with me last year, is not afraid of hard work, she is doing lots of lovely permanent makeup and has so many happy clients but is prone to the “what ifs”, finds it hard to take a complement and nitpicks her imperfections.
I know it’s something many of my students do.
Something I Used to Battle With on Every Level of Life & Business.
It’s not about experience. Even after 30,000 permanent makeup procedures, 40 awards, 50 clinics and over 1,000 students, I still have to decide daily which version of me is going to show up & take the lead.
Today I was teaching Rachel to go to war with the other version. Now that her technique is on point, it’s time to lean into that knowing that you are absolutely good enough.
And she’s already proven it, Rachel had her daughter very young but that did not stop her from working, being a brilliant single parent and also picking up a psychology degree and still made the time to volunteer at the Samaritans 2 days a week.

In the End You Have to Do What is Good for You.
You’ll be criticised anyway. Get around this concept, until it gets on you, in you and then comes out of you.
Dramatic… No way! We had a massive wake-up call as the parents of an 11 year old terminally Ill daughter popped in for a consultation for see if she’d be able have her permanent makeup done. To help her feel better during this period as she has lost all of her hair in treatment. (Sadly too young for this treatment).
Absolutely Heart Breaking, Brought It Home That There’s One Shot at Life.
It’s time for you to take your happiness for real, time for you to change your life for real, you’re not going to do it because your best friend told you to, and you’re not going to do it because your daughter thinks you should, it’s only going to happen because you finally decided to take the lead.
What is happening in you starts coming out of you and starts shaking up, at first you get pushback… don’t be surprised when it starts shaking up things in your world.

Because You’re Not the Same Quiet Person You Used to Be ...
but you’re walking in with a different level of authority and a different level of confidence and faith in yourself.
Some people prefer you when you’re afraid of the same things they’re afraid of.
But there will be some people that be will be utterly inspired that you got up anyway and said “I’ll start where I am and with what I have”.
I’m talking about the next generation, I’m talking about the generation ahead of you that will say “if they can do it, maybe I’m not too stuck to do it too”,
I’d watched fear take the lead for too long ...
… Do you know that I went through hell and came out on the other side?
Let them take their best shot, you’re still here, still working and still ready to go to war with my other version day after day.
It’s bigger than my fear, bigger than worry, bigger than insecurity bigger than all the ‘what ifs’…

Because Here’s the Thing…
If you don’t do it. It won’t get done. If you don’t move forward, if you don’t stop comparing, if you don’t write the book, if you don’t serve, if you don’t build the business, if you don’t re-build yourself.
What if I told you that you don’t need to start with the perfect skill set, the education, the background, the vocabulary, you don’t even have to have the armour. You just need to have the belief in yourself.
Life Has This Way of Making You Feel Like You Can Lose, No You Just Lost Focus.
Get your focus back on what really matters so that you can get your hope back, not just shake it up for a little while but so that the generations feel it. It’ll only happen through me.
Today was about setting business personal and life changing goals.
Today was about so much more than being a permanent makeup artist, it was about how to show up, how to walk in a room, how to set the expectations and over deliver to even the most demanding clients.
We loved working on the most delightful client, treating herself to permanent makeup for her 75th birthday.
It’s never too late to be the best version of you.
