Because You Get Out of Business Exactly What You Put in.
Welcome back the fabulous Kate (or Maserati Kate as I call her) who I trained last year.
Always such a joy to hear another success story…
Kate was not originally from the beauty industry. She was doing very well in recruitment for many years when I first trained her, but she was ready for a big change, always wanting to switch careers to beauty.
Kate Found the Thing That Ticked All of the Boxes in Permanent Makeup.
She has been transitioning from her other business whilst renting a room in a beauty salon.
Fast forward one year and she has become really confident in creating beautiful brows and liner, she’s built up a lovely portfolio and is going full time in her new town centre clinic.
She now only works 30 mins a day of her other business to free up more time for permanent makeup.
She’s also inspired her 8 year old daughter to want to be a permanent makeup artist too when she grows up.
Her Clients Are Thoroughly Spoilt With Her Beautiful Branded Bags and Gift Wrapped Aftercare Packages.
She has also nearly built her own website, which looks fab. She started renting a room in a beauty salon one full day a week, plus has flexibility around her clients. After just 12 months, she is now going to be permanently based in a town Centre clinic. The clients will sit in the lap of luxury too as I saw her beautiful new permanent makeup up clinic chair, super exciting.
She’s had to work hard behind the scenes to perfect her technique and I can see from her beautiful work that the hours of practice has paid dividends.
She Calls Herself a Slow Burner…
but I love her consistency and her energy. She’s not afraid to roll up her sleeves and work hard and has a positive can-do attitude.
The problem with the fast learners… is that they breeze past the fundamentals… to run a really successful permanent makeup business is not just about the treatments but it’s about creating a wonderful client experience which I think she does perfectly.
The Only Issue She Has, Is That Just as the Momentum Builds, Her Husband Books Another Holiday… He Has Taken Her on 7 Holidays So Far in the Last Year Alone!!
Life is for living so I would totally encourage this.
This job should fit perfectly around a busy lifestyle so don’t stop all of the amazing holidays.
Maybe I should take a leaf out of Kates book.
I took a look through her beautiful portfolio of work that she has done over the last year. Lots of happy clients, testimonials and video reviews…
Finishing touches ready to be added to her lovely website.
It’s all coming into place nicely. She had a few little technical tips today that are going to make things easier going forwards. We created beautiful brows, lips and eyeliner for our lovely client. And we covered some ideas of how she can add even more luxury into the client experience now that she’ll have her own place.
She Also Could Not Leave Without Having Her Own Brows Done by Myself.
She wanted to feel what her clients felt and although she was previously happy with her natural brows, she tints them and has massively upped her beauty game since being in the permanent makeup industry…
I’m super proud. What a brilliant first year, laying a solid foundation for many more successful years to come.
Congratulations on your expansion… I can’t wait to see the finished pics of the Kate Crawford Clinic & I’ll look forward to seeing you for more in the next year or two.
