“But you make it look so easy” she said. I must admit that this job comes so clearly to me. As soon as I see a face I just know. For whatever reason, that’s my unique superpower.
Lorraine had been covering up her old permanent makeup because she felt that it was too dark and unnatural. It was getting her down, but sent her on this 7 year path of wanting to create natural permanent makeup herself and knowing she had the potential.
She Loved Her New Eyebrows Once I Had Fixed Them
It has restored her belief that permanent makeup can be life changing for so many.
But I explain to every single student I train that I wasn’t born with this effortless skill. I’ve spent close to two decades of my life studying this stuff, day and night, learning the best colours and machinery and experimenting with techniques. I’ve immersed myself in it for so long that now I can just instantly see what needs to happen to create the perfect colour, to achieve more balance, beauty and symmetry.
To Me, It Just Seems Like Common Sense.
How can people NOT instantly see what I see? I might sometimes dismiss that skill because it comes so easily to me. But to other people, what I have is this permanent makeup superpower.
It’s a gift. And it’s a skill that people will happily pay to have the treatment done right, and so many want to learn how to create such a natural finish that their clients will love.
Not because I was born under a lucky manifestation star, but because I’ve spent so much time mastering this one very niche skill.
