I trained with Katy 8 years ago and it’s been great. I was worried there were not enough clients out there. Tomorrow I’ve got 7. Comparing the money I earnt in beauty therapy is completely different. I work less hours and earn more money. It’s fantastic. Because I’ve got children its convenient because I can still be a mum. I’ve been able to do the school run and work around my family.”

I’ve been really busy. I’ve been playing it safe, but I’ve done over 30 procedures before my assessment. It’s been good. I’ve been doing it on weekends and when the baby is at the nursery. I’ve got premises now, decorated, renovated and furnished. Very excited for the future.”
I’m a makeup artist, for 15 years now, varying from children’s face painting, to movies, to fashion & prosthetics as well. I then had loads of children and was basically tied to the house & I just couldn’t go on a set for months at a time & found myself from doing fairly well in my industry to literally stuck at home on benefits going ‘oh my god, what’s happened to me.’ I thought this was crazy and that there must be something that I could do where I could get paid lots of money and use my skills & get job satisfaction, so, here I am.”

I was always too frightened to make that change. The goal was to leave my job within a year of training. I did it well under the year. It worked and it was amazing.”
