Clare also enjoyed a little birthday holiday & her lovely boyfriend surprised her with flowers, gifts, a delicious meal out in Brighton at one of my favourite restaurants, not to mention a spot of crazy golf before heading back to nail down the techniques.
Clare is Not From the Beauty Industry but She is Totally Entrepreneurial by Nature
Sadly like so many she couldn’t get a fashion job after years at university it was simply impossible without a years experience & yet no one would give her the experience despite her obvious talent.
So she set up her very own fashion line, designed her own prints and material, outsourced the manufacturing, became the face of her brand and made it happen anyway… & that was the moral to our conversation this week.
The World, School and Universities Are Not Devoted to Our Nurturance
They are devoted to our conformity and compliance.
Regardless of how that dovetails with our natural gifts, skills, desires and visions for our future.
Having now proven that she can make a business work, Clare has now decided that what she really wants to be somewhere different, doing something different, in a whole different world of people.

To redefine your life and your self-concept like this, it’s not an overnight thing, you must do two things.
First, you must acquire some very specific tools and training in your perfect field.
Second, you must commit to being totally and utterly honest in evaluating and using all of the information & skill sets you have amassed so far throughout your life, work & play.
Don’t rush the fun process. I make no apology for the fact that creating your dream is time consuming and labour intensive.

If you rush the work, if you “skim” the information, rather than totally committing yourself to an honest self-appraisal, then a small change is all you’ll get.
Clare told me it’s time to start moving in a new direction that is grounded in the vibrant here and now. Instead of continuing in the old, it’s served as a great stepping stone, it’s become tired, outdated, and irrelevant to who she wants to be.
