It Seems Like We're Constantly Told to Quit Our 9 to 5 & Pursue Work That We're Passionate About.
It’s said to be the quickest path to success, especially true when like the lovely Katherine, you’re also dealing with health issues and trying to create less stressful career path, getting back to creating & freeing up time for extra curricular activities.
Katherine is super creative, has a degree in fashion design, went into home design & project management whilst renovating and flipping her own house projects.
As she climbed the ladder, she gradually lost the creativity from her job as she became more office based and customer care oriented.
Pursuing Passion & Creativity at Work Is Well Known to Increase Engagement and Job Performance.
Although I love an all in type…It always worries me when someone transitions careers in an instant…it’s feels a bit unrealistic and risky to rely on passion work as the only means from day 1 of building a new business.
But Katherine Loves Working Under Pressure.
She has already taken on a full time clinic and is currently renovating it with her partner ready for her live model training in August.
It’s not usually what I recommend, because it’s better to ease in without the pressure of overheads and adjusting to being self employed.
You take on many unexpected roles and wear just about every hat…from cleaner, receptionist, makeup artist, therapist and right through to accountant.
It’s More a Marathon Than a Sprint. It Takes a Lot of Energy and Work to Get Things Off the Ground.
Add in some health issues and although not impossible, it will certainly be a challenge. And challenges are what Katherine revels in. She’s also seen how it was done by another student in a similar position further fuelling her excitement and determination.
I gave her some brilliant strategies on how to maximise and get lots done on good health days, so that you can relax completely when your body tells you that you’ve done too much.
You Can Craft Your Dream Business to Also Allow for More Time for Non-work Passions.
I showed Katherine how to find ways to make her dream business more closely reflect what she cares about, by helping others suffering with auto immune disorders and fibromyalgia.
An excellent way to further develop your skills, serve like minded communities, or simply just decompress after all of that pressure.
Her parter is absolutely supportive of her going into permanent makeup
Her best friend is an expert on brand building and she will be helping her on logo, website design as well as pricing and packaging her unique skill base for success and she has her first few models at the ready.
She Had Her Own Brows Done by Myself Whilst She Was Here.
She not only looks and feels better but knows first hand what she can do for others. She’s able to show how natural the work can look so others like herself can benefit and save time reapplying makeup day after day.
