But She Made It Happen Anyway.
Fellow perfectionist Laura has had one of the most powerful life lessons over the last 6 months in building her permanent makeup business.
She learned that sometimes when you say “NO” to others, that you are really just saying “YES” to yourself.
We’re so busy making sure everyone around us is OK, that we forget our own success and happiness matters too.
Laura Was Immediately Told by Her 7 Year Old Son Who Was Watching Channel 5 Late One Night That She’d Make an Excellent Permanent Makeup Artist
He was exactly right, she took his advice & she has transformed her life and business in such a short space of time.
And it’s so easy to see why. Laura is just genuinely one of the most fantastic people I’ve ever met, lovely with people, kind and caring & so passionate about her work.
At her assessment we’ve been working on “when good enough is honestly, honestly good enough”.
All of Her Clients Have Been Absolutely Thrilled With the Results
They’re sending more recommendations than she could possibly handle.
It was all going well until it came to a head and she reached burnout. Laura was burning the candles at both ends (and also in the middle) trying to juggle her nail clients and ever growing list of permanent makeup clients.
Phasing Out One Business for Another is Not as Easy as It First Seems
She’s taken every instruction and is now seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
Only 6 months in and she’s now almost doing only permanent makeup & full time. And we’re really just getting started as we will continue to mentor Laura on the business side as she builds her dream business and becomes the go-to person in her local area.
I Often Get Asked if Everyone I Train is Successful?
I’d say almost everyone. But it’s hard to truly measure success as everyone has a different end game.
To me personally, the success that I’ve been chasing is simply about liking myself, it’s about liking what I do and liking how I do it.
The Penny Totally Dropped for Laura as I Assessed Her Amazing Work
She learned to relax and to enjoy the process, totally trusting that she will always be good enough in the eyes of her even most demanding clients.
I too am super proud to have her as one of my star students. Perfect is not possible, we’re ALL just a work in progress.
Thank you so much for yet another lovely bottle of Bollinger, my lush pamper products and your wonderful and touching card. Not necessary, it’s been such a pleasure xx
